Helen L. Domin

Helen Domin, 94, formerly of Lombard, IL passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020.

Helen was born in Chicago and attended Amundsen High School. She married George Domin on August 10, 1946 and eventually moved to the Western Suburbs to raise their children. Along with raising her children, she worked full time as a secretary to several Vice Presidents of Purchasing and the COO at Jewel Food Store’s Corporate Office in Melrose Park for over 25 years. She was proud of the responsibilities she handled during her career.

Helen lived a full life as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren playing sports, dance/pom performances and all of their other activities.Helen loved and was very proud of her sons and entire family and instilled in them the strong values that have served them all well.

She was a sports enthusiast and a fan of all Chicago Sports Teams (especially the Blackhawks) and Notre Dame football. She enjoyed travel (Hawaii was her favorite), Canasta and days on their pontoon boat with family at their Lake Carroll home. Her family enjoyed her skills in the kitchen which included fabulous dinners and desserts.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, George and granddaughter Rebecca. She is survived by her 3 sons, Steven (Pamela) Domin Sr., Ronald (Patricia) Domin Sr. and Thomas (Laurie) Domin. Loving Grandmother to Steven (Stephanie) Domin Jr., Michael (LeAnn) Domin, Ronald Domin Jr., Robert Domin, Jillian (Kyle) Mieszcak, Angela Domin and Olivia Domin. Great grandmother to Tyler, Alexis and Thomas Domin. She will be dearly missed by many but will remain forever in our hearts.

Service and internment private.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date due to the Covid-19 situation.
