A little girl, 11, secured her fluffy pony-bun with the prettiest of bows and then twirled, jumped, and danced all the way home.
As she burst through the gates, she stood up straight, held her sweet little face towards the light and let her amazing angel wings ~ those wings that were so hard to keep undercover for eleven years ~ fall into the place they were always meant to be. Vibrant, stunning and in full view.
“I am home!”
There were cheers and squeals of delight, and the immense joy was evident as McKenna entered eternal life. All of the angels were so full of happiness to have their girl back. They could not wait to hear all of Kenna’s stories, but first she had to answer the most important question she would ever be asked.
Jesus: My sweet girl, did you enjoy fulfilling your purpose?
Kenna: So, very, very much.
Jesus: And how did you do that?
Kenna: I loved everyone with every bit that I had. And, they felt it.
She turned her head and looked to the Earth below and whispered “I will love you forever.
And, that my lovies, is the ultimate gift. The very gift deserving to be wrapped in the biggest bow you ever did see.
The incredible acts of compassion shown to me should not stop today. I need for you to continue on with all that is kind and do it in my name.
You have a voice.
You have a choice.
For my Mommy & my Daddy; my big brother, Kyle; and my little sister, Kelsey.
For Grandma Adrienne, Opa, Nana, Papa and Grandma T.
For Uncle Geoff, Uncle Pip, Uncle Mark, Uncle Ryan and their girlies.
For Aunt Andrea & Uncle Ken, my sweet cousins and my precious little friends.
For each and every therapist, and their healing hand.
For every person in my medical world that fought for every breath…each day…and until the very end.
For all of my angels that lived for the very same. Live your life with purpose. Proceed with love and kindness. It’s time to change the game.
