Jack Camiliere, age 86 of Batavia (formerly Addison, IL). Beloved husband of the late Lorraine Camiliere, nee Chmieiewski; Loving father of Michael (Judy), Jack Jr. (Carla), and Anthony (Sandra); Cherished grandfather of Erica (David) Berkley, Michael Jr. (Keri), Josiah, Amanda (Peter) Turano, Megan (Jeremy) Fulmer, DeAnna Pisano, Gina Pisano, Samantha and Jacob. Cherished brother and fond uncle of many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Ignazio and Concetta (nee Marino) Camiliere.
Jack Camiliere was born on November, 12 1929 in Chicago, IL. He was 8th of 9 kids and grew up in the West Side of Chicago. Jack served in the US army during the Korean War. He married Lorraine in 1956 and together they raised their 3 boys, Michael, Jack Jr. and Anthony in Addison, IL. He worked as a mover at Hollander and retired in 1993. Jack loved Frank Sinatra and Louie Prima, retelling stories of his many trips to Las Vegas and chocolate cake! He was often seen cooking pasta in his basement or grilling his famous BBQ chicken for a family get together. Jack always put family first and loved nothing more than spending time with his 9 grandchildren. Jack will be remembered most for his generosity, humor, wit and smile. He will be missed but never forgotten. Yabootz! Visitation on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 3-8 p.m. at Steuerle Funeral Home, 350 S.
