Jean Adele Schneider
Jean Adele Schneider was born March 31, 1922 in Oak Park, Illinois and was received into Heaven October 19, 2014. She attended Oak Park River Forest High School and was a “Kelly Girl”. Jean was known for her love of the Chicago Cubbies, Edith Piaf, PBS television, classical piano and vocal music, WBBM talk radio, animals of all kinds especially horses and dogs and her wickedly witty sense of humor. In her younger years she was a traveler throughout the United States and had interesting tales to tell from her many trips to Broadway in New York and Disneyland in California. Not having any children she treated her nephew and nieces as if they were her own. She was the “fun aunt”. She became a staple on Division Street in Lombard and was adored by her many neighbors, past and present. She made quick friends with all her nurses at Bickford in Oswego. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Emilia (nee Chiappe) Schneider, her brother and sister-in-law Harold “Bud” and Betty Ann Schneider and her dogs Jacques and Bandi. She is survived by her nephew, Dale (Christine) Schneider and niece Janet (Jon) Knuth; as well as 2 great nieces, Amanda (Jason) Plohr and Cate Lyn Knuth and many, many friends. Jean will be missed by many and forgotten by none. Godspeed. Visitation Friday October 24, 2014 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Steuerle Funeral Home 350 S.
