Thomas C. McGee

Thomas Charles McGee, May 1938 – December 2010, Resident of LaFarge, WI and Bradenton, FL. After a courageous battle with lung cancer, Tom passed away peacefully at his winter home in Bradenton. Tom was

born and raised in Davenport, Iowa and Clarendon Hills, IL. He graduated from Hinsdale Central High School. He married Brigita (Gita) Elisabeth Ortmeyer in Lombard, IL in October 1958, where they lived for 41-years

and raised seven children.

He was a loyal employee (40+years), at Associated Technical Services, in Villa Park, IL, an avid square dancer, little league coach and was active in Silver Knights for many years.

A devoted son, and one of four children born to the late Daniel LeRoy and Marie Mabel (Herold) McGee and was the beloved husband of Gita McGee for 52 years. Tom will forever be remembered by his loving brother

Larry, and sisters Jean McIntyre and Marianne Petrucelli, beloved children Mandy (Kerry Barnett) McGee, Carrie (Mark) Kotilinek, Thomas (Mary Jeanne) McGee, Kelly (Michael) Emerine, Patrick (Lisa) McGee, Charles (Kelly) McGee & Ginny (Chuck) Stover.

Tom was a very proud grandfather of 16, including Heidi, Matthew, Amy, Thomas, Christopher, Padraic, McKenna, Riley, Mitchell, Delaney, Maggie & Michael along with Sydney & Bryce Folger and Lauren & Emily Stover. His many nieces, nephews, and cousins also filled his life with love and fun.

Tom loved his Yankees, Packers and Fighting Irish. He loved the banter with his kids and grandkids about sports, their kids, their loves and their lives. In addition to his family, he loved his social circles in the Lombard,

LaFarge and Bradenton areas. He always enjoyed spending time with friends and family, laughing, telling stories, and teasing with a twinkle in his Irish eyes.
